May the BS be with you >>;

October 31, 2007

Finally done with Gulliver’s Travels and the accompanying presentation and notes @_@. The group was a bunch of horrible procrastinators, myself included of course, and so resolutions for the next book: get FOUR group members instead of three for less work for us all (WOO), get a member that’s some hardworking overacheiving intimidating ass to intimidate us to get to work (yay no procrastination), read a book that’s been done before just in case we need better notes >>;, and lastly, if it comes to it, do a bit more conquering in divide and CONQUER, which we FAILED at for the book T_T. We need MUCH better logistics for it *sigh*. We completely winged the presentation, which ended up being “fine”, but meh, BS FTW! >>; The notes though…hehe >>; we totally didn’t change the words for each of the sections we copied from the other members, and we said screw book III, yet we had book IV notes >>;. Well, time to hit us with your best shot *sigh*. And next time hopefully we’ll actually read the book instead of using Sparknotes *sigh*.

It’s really coming down this week, there’s a gothic short story due tomorrow, a sonnet due Friday, Trick or Canning tomorrow, a lack of sleep to contend with (which fell me during the English vocab test today *sigh*), photosynthesis test on Friday, and it’s only Tuesday…

I thought last week was bad, but this week is absolutely horrible T_T.

In other news, some kid from elementary school in Chinese Christian Schools found me on Facebook O_O. It’s been what, 7 years? Damn, internets. Oh yeah, haha I have a Facebook now lol STFU FYAD

Damnable cough.

Field Trip

October 26, 2007

Yesterday, as it’s 5 in the morning right now >>; I went to the Federal Reserve Board in San Francisco. It was nice, excepting the fact that it completely messed up my schedule, since it took me out of 3rd and 4th block, so I had to take my biology test during 1st, which was during the senior car parade (general honking and rowdiness) and run through the hall (good god when they shout “‘08″ they all sound like walruses) so concentration was a bit…poor. I got through it though, but I would MUCH prefer to have done it during 4th.

The trip itself was somewhat interesting, but I could have gone without it. Looking at money, pretty much, although we did get to see the new $5 bill coming out next year. The 5 in the right lower corner is big and PURPLE if I remember correctly. I got to see some of the state quarters I didn’t have. And of course, large boxes of bills neatly organized were there. We also got to see bills from the past, even as old as Revolutionary War currency, which was interesting. Still though, not worth missing class for. And she gives a worksheet to do afterwards on BART, which was during rush hour with the people getting home from work, so we all had to stand or sit on the floor.

More exciting I’d think was me shocking myself when I got back, opened the refrigerator, didn’t see a light, thought somebody had taken the bulb out, touched the filament and got a hands-on experience of electricity. Now THAT’S science. Not something you can get out of just reading a book there, unlike the federal reserve…

Something apparently happened during the spirit rally I missed though. Coming to school uninformed is a BAD thing.

;_;

October 23, 2007

Bunch of physical problems today, I bit my tongue, I broke a big nail, I have a boil in one of the worse areas possible, as well as insect bites in poor areas as well… T_T

This week is spirit week. I, of course, lack such, so will 99% not be dressing up for any of them, aside from Superhero Day on Friday…in which I will tie up my jacket like a cape and use that. I want a real one though, that would be awesome. Or even one of those cloak things, then I can put my head into the hood and my face disappears completely into the hood and looks like nothing more than a shadow. That would be awesome. A sword of some sort would be cool too. Mmmm, medievalness.

It’s been a while

October 21, 2007

Yeah, work, laziness, tiredness. They sucks. Bleh. Lots has happened, I guess. Last Saturday I went to the Washington Elementary Carnival thing, helped out at the duck pond and cleaned up. Nothing special there, little kids annoy though. As well as face painting. Bleh.

I don’t remember much about the week. I got my first normal sleep hours of the school year, I think, on like Wednesday or so. That was really good, although I was still tired in class T_T. Friday I went to the Trivia Bee after Quiz Bowl. Free dinner was awesome, an ok salad, though it pales in comparison to the one served at the lobster feed. The chicken tasted pretty good, although the sauce reminded me of something else >>;. The rice was AWESOME, I wish I had more. Didn’t try the vegetables though, they looked spicy and as such, not quite to my taste. Then we went to participate in the answering of questions, competing against big and scary adults, our two teams of 3 being the only kids in there. It was quite an experience, most of the questions weren’t as hard as the ones in quiz bowl, it would appear, although sports questions often spelled our doom, it would seem. We were knocked out in first round sadly, with the teams get 21 and 13 of 30 questions right. It was still quite fun though, afterwards I stayed behind with Richard and help put stuff away. I have a black tall hat with shiny sequin-things and all to show off for the effort. Woo!

Bit of a sartorial problem I had for dressing up for the Trivial Bee though, I lack anything more formal than a polo shirt (and only one of them presentable, at that). I only have pants at jeans level formal and lower, which isn’t formal at all. I will have to start finding “nice” clothes. Bleh. I like casual clothes. A lot. And I harbor a strong dislike of formal clothes.

I’m coming down with the cold or flu or something. I’ve been coughing, and it’s been especially hellish today since I have a headache, so it racks my head everytime I cough. Grrr.

I have to write a Gothic short story for English. This will be quite interesting, the idea of killing my economics teacher (one hell of a git) for the story has popped up in my head. She wants an “original” story though, which I think is impossible, because everything is a rehash of everything else, everyday is repost day. By having a coarctation of the type of story we can write it becomes even more impossible to be original, because the idea behind the story will be the same essentially. Bleh.

Lobster Feed

October 13, 2007

Today was a good day for the most part. I walked in the rain today, so I had my AWESOME large blue and yellow Ikea umbrella to cover me up. Freaking like a short lance, it’s awesome to carry holding it with the shaft on your shoulder like a bat or some other weapon. It’s going to poke someone’s eye out XD. Of course, it was walking through the rain, and an umbrella is just like a car…with all the windows open. While my body was not soaked through in rainwater, my feet were, and my socks were fucking damp. I’m probably going to get athlete’s foot, and I’m not even an athlete…*sigh*. The legs of my jeans also got wet, which was not fun. Next time I have to walk through the rain, I’m bringing a new pair of socks so I won’t have to deal with damp socks and all. Bleh.

The rest of the school day was pretty good, Econ was pure Monopoly playing pretty much, although seriously if we weren’t going to learn shit more, we should have put off the freaking homework. Fucking idiot Smart is for that crap, I still have to do it so I know the material. The rest of the school day passed by pretty much without much oddities or notables, I suppose.

Lobster feed at the MCC was crazy though. We spent from around 4:30 to 7:00 pretty much organizing into groups to serve tables and then hanging out. I lost at a couple of rounds of killer (I play so little now, I suck now T_T) and dinner was salad, chicken, and garlic bread or something. The bread was not bad at all, if it did have garlic in it, it was not throat gaggingly strong. Salad was not bad either, even though salad isn’t really my type of thing, I need vegetables and all. Fiber is GOOD. I think its the dressing that makes it fine though >>;. Then we served the tables, taking out pasta (awesome tasting, which I found out at the end when I ate some of the leftovers), salad, garlic bread, prime ribs, and then the main course, LOBSTER. It was being cooked out back and then people took large ass trays in. Then servers had to take away the large pile of shell leftover O_O crazy task. My feet are still sore from standing so long, I am NEVER being a waiter/server/something in that line of work. People were highly demanding of lobsters, and I heard some people at around 5 or 6. Personally I don’t like lobster (omg this guy doesn’t like avocadoes and now he doesn’t like lobster, he should be SHOT) on the basis of having to eat it with hands instead of utensils. I don’t like dirty hands on account of laziness. Interact made a profit of around $1100, which is amazing any way. There were 90 kids there too (WOW). Crazy stuff though, but quite the entertaining and interesting.

Fuck I’m tired. Beddybye time!

Fear

October 9, 2007

So, today, we got our transcript in class, and I found out my rank rose from 3 to 2, yeah? So why the fear? Notice that Roger is still rank 1 but I’ve slowly gone from 4, to 3, to 2. Obviously, I’ve knocked people down…and I’m next to have a lovely drop down the ranks. Which would seem even more so possible with continued failing in English with a B. I wonder who were the ones I knocked down? And how far they went. Yay for being next in line to fall! >>; Like lining up to jump off a building.

And I have three B’s and I’m still rank 2. Says something about our class: we aren’t exactly the smartest one out of them. Only our current valedictorian has straight A’s. Or at least, only he has straight A’s and is taking majority AP and honors classes, I’m sure there’s a mediocre overacheiver (straight A’s taking no honors) in the school in our year.

Tired

October 2, 2007

Energy and persistence may conquer all, but I don’t have the energy…I’m fucking tired right here…I don’t like being tired, although last night I think I got enough sleep for a night, somewhere around 8 hours worth, I think. But I was falling asleep in Biology, that isn’t very often I do that. We’ve been playing Monopoly in Economy for the past 2 classes, I suppose it’s to show us market systems and structures, but I’m not feeling like I’m getting much from it. English, I’ve not been able to finish what I need to read, because I ran out of time. Last night, I ran out of time, since I only got from around 5:45-6:50 to read it, which is not enough time….I should really start sleeping at night, but I’m too tired to work normal times…*sigh*

People in Biology have been asking me who I’m taking out to prom. Should I even go? I do hate suits and all. And I don’t seem to have anyone to ask…meh, I’ll think on it later. I’m going to nap.

In brighter news, I got me a personal heater/fan thing, so it’s awesome. There’s also a minifridge out back in the shed so I can potentially have food in my room. I really have to get it in my room somewhere, it’s going to be awesomeness.
