The Week in Review

May 30, 2008

I have been quite lazy this week! Spending lots of time playing Age of Empires III and watching ‘Allo! ‘Allo!, bad Gary >>;.

Monday was Memorial Day. I stayed at home, procrastinated, and rushed my lab report in the dead of the night.

Tuesday I then was told that the lab wasn’t due until Thursday. This will probably be the only time you will find me having done my work before the night before it’s due >>;. But, work was done, which was surprising, and for the best, since I had an essay to do that night from Gov, some stupid DBQ about the First Amendment in the school environment. However, I didn’t check if my lab completely printed out correctly. I think I may have run out of colour ink, as my graph didn’t come out ><. I had to reprint the graph at school…*sigh*

So Tuesday was the last concert of the year, last concert for the class seniors, and as Mr. Glover the conductor is retiring, his last as well. So, while I was planning on going home with Richard to work on the magazine, I didn’t, since we kind of volunteered (well, more like Mr. Doan volunteered us, but we were fine with it) to help the other kids finished up the gel electrophoresis lab. So we helped destaining the gels, and ended up staying there until the concert. I put trance onto the nice sound system Doan has, and that was awesomeness. Then, Richard and I met with Elvin downstairs, then went to the concert. It was doubtless awesome. I strongly liked the St. Paul song, The Nearness of You, i believe, which was a jazzy piece the orchestra played, and some song with some red rose and “Luve”, which had an awesome violinist kicking ass >>;.

After the concert, Richard and I stayed behind, picked up recyclables, and forgot our stuff in Elvin’s car while he went to drop off Serene home >>;. And, he forgot to turn his phone off silent. Awesome time I had having to go home, IM him, then have him come over so I could claim my stuff and guide him to Richard’s place. While Richard’s parents were pissed off, mine I think were too tired to care >>;. But, it wasn’t too bad for me, Elvin drives awesomely, and AC/DC came on the radio with HIghway to Hell! Overall, I had a better time at that night than I did prom night >>;. I have to say, the choice of music that night was MUCH more preferable to the stuff I heard at prom. While Daft Punk and What is Love are awesome songs, that’s only two songs. A night’s worth of trance and classical stuff beats the shit out of the rest of the night >>;.

Wednesday, we finished off the lab, were confused where the bands end and begin (I think I saw more than they did, but they only saw three, and I thought we needed more…well shit >>;). Then I ripped the gel apart, woo! >>;. Recycling also went smoothly, for the most part, there were lots of people this time!

Thursday, all was a blur. Probably wasn’t anything much important, yeah?

Friday, I came in REALLY late to second block >>;. Like, 10:15, say? And there, I did a whole lot of nothing >>;. I signed Ms. Larson’s picture of her 3rd block class (I think it was 3rd >>;) and a card for her. Then we went to visit Ms. Larson. She looked so much more happier and healthier. It has been quite a while since I have seen her. She forgot my name, thought I was “Paul”, Roger’s brother >>;. Great…I think she did that before as well >>;. I also collected a bunch of hours sheets…I was supposed to go to CSF, but eh, majority of the people were in Larson’s room anyways visiting, so I was able to get a good amount of them >>;.

During Gov, we had nothing to do. Elvin took the time to draw an epic picture on Smart’s blackboard, with some ideas from me and some drawing input from Richard. It looked…epic >>;.

After school, I went to Quiz Bowl. It had been quite a while since I went; the week before was prom, before that was other stuff, so it was about 3 weeks since I’ve been to a meeting. Sophia actually played in a game this time! And an older member came to visit as well. After that, I went to eat dinner at Hometown Buffet, for the Interact incentive dinner…I haven’t done much these past months, and I feel poorly for that, and somehow I still made it…>>;. I am thankful though that I was able to go, free food is always awesome, and I ate lots and lots and lots…the clam chowder was awesome though. And dipping bread into it was awesome as well. And the chicken and dumplings shit, I think dumplings are just bread >>;. But, it still was awesome. Salisbury steak was good, as well as the seafood macaroni salad. I came out quite full with a distended belly…while usually I am unable to eat very much at buffets because of my poor luck to be not very hungry when going, this time, I didn’t eat lunch and thus had the stomach for it >>;.

On a side note, I saw Mr. Clark right outside our banquet room eating alone. ;_; Where’s that Korean fiancee of his I remember him talking about? >>;

And now I’m here, being lazy, as usual >>;. I have a magazine project due this coming week on Monday. And shut up. It’s for the greater good >>;.

Lucid Dreams

May 25, 2008

I think I did it. I may have gotten into a lucid dream. Maybe, just maybe. Odd dream, it was, but I was in my bed in the dream, but for some reason I also had my sleeping bad covering me as well as my quilt. I get up, notice that there is a cabinet, which i don’t normally have in my room, in the place of my bookshelf, and it has a large red word on it, at a diagonal, like it was stamped on. I went up to it, but forget to read it. There, I check for reality-I hold my nose with my fingers and try to breath through my nose-it worked! So, I knew it was a dream, I think. But then I open that cabinet, and my dream-vision gets blurry, and I can’t remember after that.

So perhaps, I did make it into lucidity. Of course, I wasn’t able to use it, damn.

Relay was yesterday, and that rhymed

May 18, 2008

Yesterday, I suppose, I did a little more than I had planned for. I went out with Elvin in his lovely car (with so much technology, I say, there’s a button to turn on the car instead of turning the ignition @_@) to hang out. We went to Chopsticks to get horrible, horrible, MSG-laden food. Yum >>;. Then we went to Relay for Life at Burrell Field (yeah, Elvin likes to use gas >>;). I walked around with him, Richard, and Sophia on the track for a while, then Dennis persuaded me to get a mahjong table from my house by his car. Sophia left before I could say bye, i think >>;. Elvin left after I got back, and then I stayed until 11. Dennis and a bunch of others were playing mahjong; we had thought of everything except one thing: lighting ><. We had to tie a cellphone with a very strong flashlight to the top of the gazebo so we could see the tiles. It had quite the feel of a gambling den, lacking the smoke, of course.

The night was a lot colder than I had expected. It had been so warm a couple of days ago, the night was about high 60s! While today’s comparable cool during the midday was welcome, the extreme fluctuation in temperatures suck. I can’t stand either extreme at all >>;.

Over

May 12, 2008

Today is the last I’ll have to ever suffer of those damn AP testings! Bio hopefully went over well, I felt pretty ok on everything besides free response question 2 on productivity and ecology >>;. Kuruc proctored, and was quite the ever so amusing. He’s easily the best proctor I’ve had this year.

After testing, Richard and I ate at Jack in the Box and went to Charles’s house to play Brawl. I likes Wolf, Ike, and Ganondorf. It’s been quite a while…after playing we took a look through Charles’s trophy collection in Brawl. I promptly attempted to look up the skirts/loincloths/whatever the fuck was down there of nearly every trophy. >>;

So, my parents wanted me to go and do some summer school, at Laney. Some English class, I’m not sure. But I’m tired. Tired of academics, of school, of grades, of essays, of books, of homework ><. No way in hell am I spending my last summer before college trying to shove another book up my ass and analyse that. I’ve been pretty much going nonstop with school since 8th grade? Not a single unoccupied summer >>;. Screw that this year.

And tomorrow is back to school. Another school day…*sigh*. I really want to stay home…

My English test was not assrape, no, not at all. That would be too generous a term. It was more along the lines of “rip you a new hole and rape you in that hole” rape, yay guro >>;. Here’s to a lucky 3 >>;.

Friday, we watched Casablanca in English. Black and white, it was an amusing film, not something I’d watch of my own volition though. But, there were Nazis, which I did not expect >>;. Nazis in films are…Nazis >>;. What’s ironic though is the lead lady, her name was Ilsa Lund or something to that effect? My mind goes to this film: Ilsa, She Wolf of the SS >>;. One’s running from the Nazi’s, the other is a Nazi…yes, why I know about that film is a mystery to me as well.

Today, I went to a Biology practice test at 9, did ok on my multiple choice, and failed hard on the essay. I didn’t read about embryo development, nervous system specifics, and evolution of the nervous system and shit. Then one essay questions talking about all three comes down and rapes me >>;. I hope that isn’t on the test…my essays have always brought me down though.

Afterwards, I decided to have a nice, leisurely walk home, listening to music. While it was sprinkling earlier, it is warm and windy outside, so that’s good walking weather. Mr. Doan saw me walking back and asked if I needed a ride, but I was fine, since I chose to walk myself; had I needed a ride, I could have called home. I decided to stop at KFC for lunch, reasoning that I probably would be too lazy to head over there on any future date >>;. Yay rationalisation >>;.

Hello

May 7, 2008

Monday: AP Gov exam. I think I got at least a 3, hopefully a 4. The multiple choice didn’t feel too bad, I think, but the essays…while the last one on the African Americans I believe I kicked ass on, the fiscal policy shit raped my ass. Hate econ ><. The other two I was meh about. I’m really banking it on my multiple choice. After stalling for around an hour or so in front of the community center unsure of what to do and such, Richard, Charles, Dennis, and I decided to go to Jack in the Box for lunch, and then go to my house to play DS and computer and etc. They left around 3, and I didn’t get any of my work started until 12. Stupid idea.

Tuesday: So, I originally thought that I would come in at noon since it was testing for the sophomores, but I had to come in at 8 to make up the biology test we missed Monday ><. So, I didn’t get as much sleep as I wanted. That sucked. I spent 1st block in the library doing my current event and then got kicked out because there was a class coming in, so I spent the rest of 1st wandering around. Compared to what I could be doing at home…*sigh*. I went home and then slept. And slept. And slept. And slept, until around 5? And I was still tired. So that sucked like hell. I was still tired so I took a half hour nap before I went to school today, and was still tired.

Uneventful day, I was hoping that the sub for gov wouldn’t be there like in 1st, but he was. Damn. I spent most of the class in the counseling office instead of watching Fahrenheit 9/11 (I still want to watch and finish it >>;) because Ms. Payne called a bunch of people from class out to get our plans for college and such >>;. She was still talking to people though, so a bunch of us were stuck there for a long time.

After school, recycling was lacking in staffing today…5 people only=teh sux.

Coughing

May 3, 2008

So, I’m feeling a lot better now, aside from the ubiquitous coughing that I suffer every damn time after I get sore throats and fevers ><. I don’t seem to stop coughing any time…I swear, I was coughing it up a while ago, stopped for a couple of days, if I remember correctly, then that fever hit me and now I’m back at square 1: coughing ><.

At least, I don’t have to deal with a fever, which is MUCH worse, it went down around last night to this morning, but I couldn’t get any work done besides some scholarship essay that I had to plow through >>;. I spent the day at home unproductive and coughing. I should really get to work now…>>;.

Brilliant thing, you know, I often misplace the CDs that I use the most at a certain period of time, i.e. game discs >>;. Right now, I’m looking for my Lord of Destruction disc, since I’m in that sort of mood, but can’t seem to find it ><. On the other hand, apparently I have some 14 day free trial disc for WoW in my Diablo II box. Lovely. I’ll chance on it that when I’m looking for that, it will disappear too >>;.

Ow

May 1, 2008

So I had a horrible day at school today because I had a fever and sore throat and etc. It sucked. So tomorrow, no school for me. Nothing important will be missed….hopefully >>;

My head is going insane. It hurts ><.

Sick, Sick, Sick

May 1, 2008

Yesterday was mostly good. After recycling, I went to get Baskin-Robbins ice-cream, since apparently it was 31 cent scoop night. Richard, Charles, Rosemarie, Henry, and Eva were there too. We got there at around 4:20. 4:30. and the line was comparatively short >>;. It’s still a long line though, there were lots of little kids in front of us in a group. We waited until around 5:30 for scoops, I believe. But seeing as the normal price is around $2 for a scoop, it was quite worthwhile. I was originally going to get 1 scoop of Reese’s, Cookies and Cream, and Mint Chocolate Chip in one container, but apparently my order wasn’t clear enough (when am I ever, hmm?) and I got 3 scoops of Cookies and Cream in one container and 1 scoop each of the other two…but I went with the flow, good thing it was 31 cents and not the normal 2 dollars! I also didn’t know there was a 5 scoop max, so it was good that I didn’t overdo it…

I stayed at the library to study and work afterwards with Richard, since I had to go there anyways for their facilities >>;. I actually got work done before midnight >>;. But, apparently I now have a sore throat, I could feel it already during recycling, but it got worse ><. Waking up sucked like hell. I wanted to not go to school, except that damned timed writing which I’m SURE that I won’t do if I don’t do in class >>;. Tomorrow I have to go as well because of practice tests…*sigh*.

Listening to: Armin van Buuren-Sail. Yay, trance!
