He bore a fleeting resemblance to “Wormtail” from the Harry Potter films. His hands were quite cold when I shook it. His face was quite aged. And he was a broker of death. And that’s the dude that helped my dad reserve a grave. And now, I have a grave site on hold, in my name. Isn’t that terribly wonderfully morbid? >>;
Personally, I think graves are too expensive, I heard like 4000 for a grave spot? And it’s not even the coffin sized ones, but the ones for cremated remains. A tiny spot of earth, not even fit for a hobo to live on, costing that much for not just a person, but a dead one? Death is such a terrible thing to capitalize on.
Also, who the hell cares about the view from the grave, when you’re in the grave, you’re dead, if you haven’t noticed.
Aren’t there also like continuing fees for keeping the grave and crap? What happens if you can’t pay the fees, they dig up the remains and toss them into a waste bin along with the tombstone?
Oh well, at least the water fountain there was wonderful. Refreshingly cold water and cups for your convenience. Obviously they’re turning a pretty penny so they’d have to provide better water fountains.

So, Richard made a comic, based on our first bread baking experience, which resulted in one hard-ass stone of a bread. And here it is, above. It’s a WIP, because Richard is unsatisfied with it and might want to color it in even more in the future. There’s always room for improvement! It is based on a stupid little idea of mines. Note that this bread plucked from the ground a la Peach’s down B move is even stronger than her deadly stitchface turnip, as it summons evil deadly hellfires and storms and such.
Listening to: xoc-Ice Cream Island 1, from What’s Pink and Sucks? It is some Kirby’s Adventure album, and while the songs on it are a tad on the short side, they are very well done. Also, KIRBY!
you know what they need? a hookshot

So today, I helped in the baking of bread! It is a badass thing to do in a kitchen, to be able to bake bread. So after class and presentation (“So why did you pick “A Worn Path”" “uhhh……why NOT?”), I went to Safeway to get some supplies, mainly yeast and vegetable shortening and a few other things for possible future baking of cookies. Afterwards, I met up with Richard and we went to Nation’s for lunch. He had a cheeseburger and we both had fries and a slice of custard pie. That shit is pretty much like a big ass egg tart so it agreed with my taste buds. I also kept the tin, for being Asian. >>; Then Elvin picked us up and dropped us off and then he went to his little lunch thingy with Angel and Jon at Ihop or something.
So, since I forgot we didn’t have any milk (I dislike drinking it), we had to walk to the gas station to get a quart, and then came back and began mixing up the dough. Shortening looks disgusting and unhealthy, and nothing like oil at all. >>; We didn’t know what “when the dough chases the spoon” meant for when the dough was ready for kneading, so we poured it out much too early onto our floured board, so we ended up making a mess of things there…we had to scoop it back up rather messily and ineffectively back into the mixing bowl, and it took us around something like 3 or so hours to actually get dough that was kneadable. We needed a lot more flour apparently. Next time, we know the consistency, and we have also found the electric beater so we dont have to do all that mixing with a spoon in hand. Mechanization!
We baked our bread a tad too long, I think, the crust was more brown than golden-brown. The bottom crust was so tough so as to be not easily cut with a knife. Also, since we didn’t have a bread pan, we baked it in a Pyrex bowl. Our original idea was to bake it in a wok, but that didn’t work out very well since I was wary of the wok not holding up well in the oven’s heat. >>; So we ended up with something more like the stone of death rather that the staff of life. It was so hard it could possibly have been a murder weapon. Next time, I think we’ll bake it a bit less…
